About 40 years ago all the helmets were similar in their ability to protect the wearer. In retrospect, we must admit that our product was only average at the time. Mitch Arai, however, was not satisfied with being just "average" and wanted Arai to be much more. In 1976, he not only decided to "make Arai better", but he set himself the goal of "being the number one in the world"
